Every Vienna journal comes with three inserts. These are for the next page, and the one after that.

Our inserts are assembled by hand in our California studio and made to sit well with the leather you chose. Because each set is assembled by hand, orders typically ship within 10 to 14 days, depending on quantity.

1. Size: Passport, Pocket, Standard TN or A5. See the Size & Format Guide below to match your journal.

2. Paper Layout: Dot, grid, lined or blank. Watercolor paper comes in blank only.

3. Paper Type

Standard: 28 lb, smooth with a light texture.
Kokuyo: 64 gsm, fountain pen friendly.
Tomoe River: 52 gsm, fountain pen friendly, in white or cream.
Watercolor: 140 lb (300 gsm), acid-free, for wet media. Blank only.
Mixed Media: 120 lb (200 gsm), for graphite, charcoal, pastel, ink, marker and light washes.
Studio Drawing: 98 lb (160 gsm), for dry media.
Marker: 24 lb (90 gsm), for pens, ink and markers.
Sketching: for pencil and everyday sketching.

4. Cover Colors: Choose a cover color for each of your three inserts: chocolate brown, mocha, creme, white, forest green, pale pink, vintage pink, black or kraft. Deeper, richer tones look striking against Black, Red or Cognac leather. Lighter neutrals keep it soft and quiet.

Each insert has a smooth 110 lb cover with rounded corners and our logo embossed on the front.
