Ink & Simple was born from a simple belief: in a world full of screens and temporary things, the items we carry and write in should matter. Whether you are planning your next journey, sketching a sudden idea, or simply putting pen to paper over morning coffee, we are here to help you find a companion that fits your story.

The Leather: Sourced & Tanned in Italy

We believe that quality starts at the source. That is why every Ink & Simple journal begins with exceptional, full-grain leather sourced from the finest European hides and tanned in Italy.

We work exclusively with traditional, vegetable-tanning methods. This ancient process uses natural tannins from plants, herbs, and wood (and in our pastel shades, Tara flower extracts from Peru) rather than harsh chemicals. The result is a durable, supple leather that carries its own natural grain, breathes, and develops a rich, personal patina over time.

Our leather carries the Genuine Italian Vegetable Leather Consortium hallmark, your guarantee that it was tanned in Italy according to the strictest quality and environmental standards.

Three Distinct Collections

We offer three carefully curated leather lines, each with its own unique personality and hand-feel:

  • The Sorrento Collection: Milled, soft Vachetta leather with a natural pebble grain. It undergoes an extra drum-milling process, making it feel beautifully broken-in from the very first touch—smooth, matte, and inviting.
  • The Vienna Collection: Firm, vegetable-tanned harness leather built for structure and ultimate durability. A traditional saddle and bridle material available in Red, Black, and Cognac that develops a stunning shine over the years.
  • The Pecos Raw Tara Collection: Semi-firm Vachetta harness leather, vegetable-tanned in oak barrels. A living, tactile leather with a natural matte finish that tells the exact story of your travels and daily use.
